RK Records is thrilled to have recently signed budding superstar Chelsea Keenan to our roster of amazing young talent.

 

“Quadruple Threat” is a term you don’t hear used often - but it’s the only way to even begin to touch upon the limitless abilities of Chelsea Keenan! Chelsea has been gifted not only with stunning beauty but with an angelic singing voice, a remarkable song-writing ability and some serious acting chops!

Chelsea has been driven to succeed from a very early age. Her acting and modeling career took off at the tender age of 5 when she was chosen to be the spokesperson for Channel 16 in Spartanburg, North Carolina. From there she branched out to runway modeling and was sought out for acting work. Chelsea rose though local ranks as a model/actress and “finally”, at the ripe age of 13, made it to New York City! Almost immediately upon arrival Chelsea was noticed. She landed spots in numerous commercials, television shows (One Tree Hill), print ads (Goody's, Belk), runway shows and even appeared as a guest artist on the CD “Kids Praise”.

 

Music has also been a party of Chelsea’s life for as long as she can remember - dating back to signing in the church choir.

 

In keeping with the “Chelsea Theme” of overachievement, she graduated high school early at the age of 16! Though Chelsea was accepted into a number of well respected universities, she knew she could not turn her back on her creative passions. She chose to spend her time fully committed to perfecting her craft by studying voice with Hannah Anders and acting with Diane Christiansen, as well as fine tuning her catalog of songs.

 

Now at the ripe age of 18, and with what seems like two lifetimes of preparations, Chelsea has moved to Los Angeles and is ready to take the music world by storm!

 

Chelsea’s self titled debut album “Chelsea Keenan” is set to drop in April of this year. Chelsea wrote all the songs on the album giving you complete access to her heart and soul. Look out for the standout singles “Butterflies”, “With You” and “Thinking of You”. Chelsea’s lyrics and writing have been likened to that of superstars Taylor Swift and Demi Lavato. Even before her album’s official release Chelsea performed a few of her songs at the recent RK Records Showcase and simply blew the judges and audience away with her remarkable songwriting. In fact, Chelsea made such an impression on the judges she was awarded “RK Records 2014 Indie Pop Artist of the Year”!

 

Always striving to do better and be more, Chelsea has been working to expand her stage show to prepare for touring to support her album by adding a team of dancers and a rap artist to her already exciting crew.

 

It’s important to know that Chelsea is not only passionate about her performance and career - she is also equally as passionate about using her platform as an artist to give back to her community. Chelsea has already helped a wide variety of causes from children in orphanages, local homeless food banks and the “Fallen Whistle” non-profit organization. She looks forward to expanding her charitable works as her opportunities to give back grow.
